Often when browsing online forums and feedback communities on topics such as workshops that are designed at helping people create wealth, financial security or financial independence, we find negative comments from people claiming “Why do you need to do that – just do the research and homework yourself”. Or “You don’t need to go to a workshop to learn this stuff, the information is freely available”. Or even negative feedback from people who may have gone to a workshop but have not made any difference to their personal situation or personal wealth.
It is interesting to see this information – especially when they are presented as complaints against the entire “wealth education” community, given how many people today still are not wealthy, still struggle with debt, still will retire without enough assets or income to see them through for the rest of their lives.
At our workshops, we endeavor to present information to people that will help them make better decisions about their investments, their finances and wealth creation generally. We still expect our attendees to do their own analysis and homework – especially when they take the next step after our workshops and take action to better their lives. There are three important steps here, to make a successful progression from where you are now to where you want to be.
- Education – learn what you need to learn to take the next step in your life. This is where our workshops help.
- Analysis – do your own homework, understand how the information you just learned about fits in with your current situation
- Action – make considered decisions and positive action to better your current situation
Unfortunately the forum and online community complaints that you see are often posted by people with a negative mindset, people who often fear success or failure enough that they will not make the considered decisions and take the positive actions to better their own situation. It is after all, much easier to be publicly negative and keep others down at the same level.
